Little bit about me
Growing up in the small village of a 2nd world country resulted in very limited opportunities. Being raised in the four family home with only one meagre salary did not help the case.
I was an introverted kid with no talents or ambition, I was afraid of my father so I became extremely obedient and did whatever he or other people told me to. Very soon people started taking advantage of me and with nobody to vent to I started bottling in all the problems I had. Life was anything but perfect. I was bullied regularly which at times led me to consider suicide as an option.That all changed, however, once I was 11, when I stumbled across two songs that ended up changing my life forever - 'Candy Shop' by 50 Cent and 'Lollipop' by Lil Wayne. I know, not exactly what you would expect.
But how did these two records change my life?
It's simple, I wanted to be just like them, I was the opposite, to me they were like superheroes, I wanted the same confidence and daringness. Before I knew it, I was sucked in the hip hop world and I couldn't believe how relatable some of these artists were.
I fell in love with the art and since then I was making music every single day, it was a way for me to vent and express myself like never before. Whether it was writing lyrics, making beats, learning about different flows and metaphors... I never had so much fun before.That was it, I tried many things in my life, but never had the same feeling I have when making music.
From that point on, my life became a roller coaster of emotions and stories that I can't wait to share with the world.
This is my story, Cort Melor is my autobiography, it's the superhero I've created, and I plan to brand the hell out of that name.
Join me on this road, I'm not particularly into gambling but I have a strong gut feeling and I'm betting everything I have on this one.
